- Climb Description:
- The longer version of McCarrs Creek Rd. After leaving the rolling hills past Church Point behind there is a solid 4.6km ascent all the way to the top of McCarrs Creek Rd.
It starts off with a steeper section that will ease up as you pass the first turn off to Akuna Bay. Keep going straight up the hill through Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. Cross over Fern Tree Gully Creek (they couldn't decide what it was when they named it), and the gradient will increase after that flatter section.
Towards the top of the hill the gradient will increase again slightly, so the riders with something left will often sprint for the KOM points.
Once at the top, follow McCarrs Creek Rd to the left and regroup at the Thai Resturant. There is a tap here to refill water bottles.
