- Climb Description:
- This is a tough climb, there are not many steeper or longer climbs in the Sydney metropolitan area. The climb is 2.5klm long at an average of 8%; but be careful, there are several pinches at 14% and one at 18%.
After grinding the pedals for 2klm there is some relief but two small pinches before the end will test you.
There is no run up before the climb, select the lowest gear before the gradient goes up.
At the top, just after the turn about pull over to the footpath and get your breath back. Don't forget to congratulate yourself and others on conquering one of the toughest climbs in Sydney.
