Ride Description:
Like most of the Renegade Rides, this ride heads north along the Pacific Highway. This early in the morning there are few problems with traffic. Just after the Mona Vale Rd intersection, you will have to ascend Pymble Hill. Take the after the Mona Vale Rd because of the hill and the traffic lights, it is possible for the stronger climbers to open a gap on the slower climbers. It may be necessary for these stronger riders to stop briefly soon after the hill to allow the group to reform.

Continue on the Pacific Hwy to Cumberland Rd, turn right and ride to Hornsby. Cross over the railway line and continue through Asquith, Mt Colah, Mt Kuring-gai to Berowra.

At Berowra, turn left and follow Berowra Waters Rd through the suburb, take care on as there is no dedicated bike lane and an awareness of passing vehicle is necessary.

The descent to Berowra Waters is a favourite with many riders. The road is fast with a few noice bends but care is required towards the bottom as there is a hairpin turn. At the bottom perform a u-turn and then climb back out. The ride will regroup just after the roundabout, then ride to the Bobbin Head as a group.

Ku-Ring-Gai Chase Rd can be an opportunity for the faster riders to push along the pace. Descend to Bobbin Head and climb out on Bobbin Head Rd. The climbers will get another chance to stretch there legs in the nice bush surrounds.

After reforming at the entrance to the National Park, the group rides through the suburbs until reaching the Pacific Hwy and the traffic. After rejoining the Pacific Highway, the group will descend back down Pymble Hill and follow the Highway back to Lane Cove, Renegade and the Cafe.
